Artist Statement:

“My goal is to display a subject in an infinite setting that gives the object a universal space to exist. To pull out the details of nature while excluding the background helps me understand and create a moment in time.” Isaac Stern

Bio:

Isaac Stern is new to the retail art world. With his dramatic minimalist paintings, he draws influence from folk, native, and fantasy styles to create stunning pieces that reflect nature in a bold fashion. Studied at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, then joining the U.S. Coast Guard he put his art on hold until an accident at sea retired him from the military. He then lived with his wife in a remote lighthouse in South East Alaska and started to put his ideas on canvas. Now living in Homer, he gathers ideas from the wild, untamed nature of Alaska.
